Scott Herbster, Skills Coach
Scott Herbster is a full-time skating and skill development coach with over nine years of experience. He owns and directs Herbster Hockey Power Skating & Skills which works with players at various levels from learn to skate to the NHL. Scott is known for specializing in practice-to-game transferable skills that enhance the performance of individual players in their respective positions.
Coach Scott is a native of Cary, IL, and started his youth hockey career at the Crystal Ice House at the age of 4. He then went on to have a successful youth and junior career before being sidelined by an injury in 2015.
During the regular season, Scott collaborates with various youth and high school organizations, offering his expertise as a skating and skills coach through his company. Additionally, he serves as the Skills Coach for the Kansas City Mavericks of the ECHL (Seattle Kraken Affiliate) and holds the position of Director of Skill Development for the University of Wisconsin-Superior (DIII) Men’s and Women’s teams. Scott has also spent time with the University Wisconsin- Madison Men’s team (DI).
